Extra passports
Above your plan's allowance, Starter charges a flat €0.20 per passport. On Growth the price starts at €0.08 and falls with your annual volume. From about 25,000 passports a year, Growth costs less than Starter.

Maintenance: when you're not issuing new passports
Your passports have to stay live, updatable and compliant for the life of the product. When you stop issuing new ones for a while, because you imported a few shipments and won't order again for months, paused EU sales, or stopped selling into the EU, you don't keep paying for a production plan. Maintenance keeps your existing passports alive, and your plan picks up where it left off when you need new ones.

Beyond batteries
Categories beyond batteries
Our platform is category-agnostic: the same flow, with a category-specific field map. We focus on batteries today because that is where the first mandatory date falls. Other categories open as their deadlines approach and their field maps are ready.
The first ESPR Working Plan sets an indicative schedule for adopting the rules: iron and steel 2026, energy-related products 2026–2029, textiles, tyres and aluminium 2027, furniture 2028, mattresses and ICT 2029. Is your category on the list? Ask us when we'll be ready.
FAQ
Pricing questions
What counts as a product model?
One DPP data set. Variants that share the same data, such as colour, label, market or software version, are one model. You need a separate model only when a mandatory field has a different value.
How are passports counted?
One passport per physical battery, as Article 77 requires. Above your plan's allowance, Starter charges €0.20 per passport. Growth starts at €0.08 and gets cheaper as your annual volume grows.
When is Growth the better plan?
When you need supplier data requests, run more than 15 product models, or issue more than about 25,000 passports a year.
Is there a setup fee or minimum term?
No. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, and users are unlimited. Pay annually and you get one month free on your whole bill.
What if I stop issuing passports for a while?
After three paid months on Starter or Growth, you can move to Maintenance from €49 a month. Your passports stay live and updatable. To issue new ones, return to your plan for at least three months.
Does Collecta register my passports in the EU DPP Registry?
Yes, on your behalf. Your company first gets verified-economic-operator status with an eIDAS identity, and we guide you through it. The Registry charges no fee. Battery registration opens once the Commission publishes the batteries semantic catalogue.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You can export everything at any time. We help you move storage to an independent provider, and the QR codes on your products keep working.
