Pricing

Published pricing, in full.

Upload the data you already have — spreadsheets, certificates, supplier PDFs. The AI consolidates it, shows you which fields your battery category still requires, and you approve every one. The passport is then published and kept reachable for the life of the product. Batteries first; the same engine serves the other ESPR categories.

Battery passports become mandatory on 18 February 2027 for every EV battery, LMT battery and industrial battery above 2 kWh placed on the EU market — including units manufactured earlier but sold after that date.

Your first passport is free.

Run the whole flow on one product model: upload your files, see the fields the AI extracted, find out which ones are still missing. No credit card. Publishing and registration are on the paid plans.

Categories beyond batteries

The platform is category-agnostic: the same flow, with a category-specific field map. We are focused on batteries today because that is where the first mandatory date falls. Other categories open as their deadlines approach and their field maps are ready.

The first ESPR Working Plan sets an indicative schedule for adopting the rules — iron and steel 2026, energy-related products 2026–2029, textiles, tyres and aluminium 2027, furniture 2028, mattresses and ICT 2029 — and inclusion in that plan does not by itself make a DPP mandatory for the group. Construction products require a passport 18 months after a future delegated act, critical raw materials around late 2028, packaging from August 2028 at the earliest, and toys from 1 August 2030.

What you should know

What a product model is

One DPP data set. Variants that share the same data — colour, label, market, software version — belong to the same model and are not billed separately. You only need a separate model when the value of a mandatory field differs.

No model ceiling

When you pass the models included in your plan you can keep adding them; you are not forced onto a higher tier. At 11 models Growth is already the cheaper option.

Unlimited users

Compliance is teamwork — a compliance officer, an engineer, procurement. We do not charge per seat, and an audit trail is only worth having if a real name stands behind every approval.

Volume never forces an upgrade

Extra passports are billed on annual cumulative volume and the ladder is identical in every plan, so a high-volume producer on Starter pays the same per passport as one on Growth.

Third-party storage

ESPR Article 10(4) requires a backup copy of the passport through a third-party service provider, and the EU Registry validates that backup link when a passport is registered (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1778, Article 8(7)) — a passport without one does not register. That storage is included on Starter and Growth, and billed as a separate annual item at provider cost on Connected.

Registry registration

The EU DPP Registry charges economic operators nothing — what you pay us for is the work, not the access. Battery registration opens once the Commission publishes the semantic catalogue for the product group. Verified-economic-operator status is obtained by your own company with an eIDAS qualified seal or signature, lapses after three years at the latest and has to be renewed; we guide you through it each time, and can carry out registry operations under written authorisation once that service is contracted.

Proof of registration

Once a passport is registered, the Registry can issue proof of registration as a secure electronic document — your unique identifier, the responsible operator, a Commission electronic time stamp and a hash of the registered version, sealed under eIDAS. It is the artefact to hand a buyer, a customs broker or an auditor. It stays valid for 90 days from generation, so we re-request it on demand rather than storing a stale copy.

Retention

For as long as your subscription runs, your passports stay reachable for the life of the product. If you leave, you can export everything or hand it to an independent provider.

No commitment

Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Your data is yours, and always exportable.

Annual billing

One month free on annual billing for Starter and Growth. Monthly billing is available too.

Collecta prepares your passport data to the structure and mandatory-field requirements EU law asks for. Responsibility for the accuracy of the data and for regulatory compliance remains with the economic operator placing the product on the EU market. Prices exclude VAT.

FAQ

Pricing questions

Is there a setup or implementation fee?

No. There is no setup fee, no onboarding project and no minimum term, and your first passport is free.

How is a passport counted?

One passport equals one physical battery, as Article 77 requires — item level is the granularity agreed for the batteries product group. Volume is counted as the passports you issue over a year, cumulatively.

What counts as a product model?

One DPP data set. Variants that share the same data — colour, label, market, software version — belong to the same model and are not billed separately. A separate model is needed only when the value of a mandatory field differs.

Do I have to move up a plan for volume?

No. The volume ladder is identical in every plan, and models can be added to any plan without a cap. You move up when a higher plan is genuinely cheaper for you, not because volume forces it.

Does Collecta register my passports in the EU DPP Registry?

Your data is prepared in registry-ready structures with item-level identifiers today. The EU Registry has been live for organisation enrolment since 20 July 2026 under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1778, and registration for batteries opens once the European Commission publishes the semantic catalogue for the product group. EU rules allow a verified third party to perform registry actions for a verified economic operator under the necessary authorisation, and we offer that contract-specifically. The Registry itself charges economic operators no fee, and verified-economic-operator status is obtained by your company with an eIDAS qualified seal or signature.

Why is third-party storage part of the price?

ESPR Article 10(4) requires the economic operator to keep a backup copy of the passport with a third-party service provider, so the passport survives even if the operator does not. It is included on Starter and Growth, and billed separately at provider cost on Connected.

Can I cancel or change plans?

Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and you can move between plans as your volume changes. Your data is always yours and always exportable.
