This is what the QR code on a battery resolves to. The public resolver serves the same passport two ways: JSON at /p/{uniqueIdentifier} and JSON-LD at /p/{uniqueIdentifier}.jsonld (or the same URL with Accept: application/ld+json). Point at any property to see which EU data point it carries and who may see it.

JSON and JSON-LD
| JSON | JSON-LD | Note |
|---|---|---|
organization | manufacturer | Typed schema:Organization; legalName becomes name, country addressCountry, contact contactPoint. |
publishedAt | datePublished | ISO 8601. |
model.capacityKwh | model.energyCapacityKwh | Rated capacity in Ah is a separate value, ratedCapacity. |
values | properties | The public (Point 1) template values, keyed by API field name. |
parents | derivedFrom | Predecessor passports after repurposing or remanufacturing. |
| — | dppVersion | The archived version this document represents, with its SHA-256 content hash. |
templateKey | — | JSON only. |
Both carry a weak ETag and are cacheable; an unknown or unpublished identifier answers 404, a recycled battery’s passport 410. The JSON-LD context is a minimal Battery-Pass-style vocabulary that will be replaced by the semantic model the Commission publishes.
What is public
Only Annex XIII Point 1 values reach the resolver, and only those that are set. Data points marked N/A for every category in the EU guidance (such as the repeated material composition) are never shown, even when stored. Points 2 to 4 — detailed composition, dismantling information, test reports, state of health — stay on the server and are readable only with your own key through GET /passports/{id}. The field catalogue lists every Point 1 field.
